Puppy Class
This socialization class provides an opportunity to expose your pup to strange dogs and people in a safe, positive environment. The rolling enrollment format (i.e. you may start any week) ensures that your pup will meet lots of different pups and people during their six weeks in class. Our curriculum includes training basic manners and building a good foundation for your dog’s future behavior. This class meets the requirements of the AKC Puppy Star program. This new program offers you the opportunity to have your pup evaluated at the end of his 6 week course. Puppies that meet the criteria will be awarded the AKC Puppy Star certification. What a great start for you to have with your new pup!
Prerequisite: Puppies aged 10 weeks - 6 months with age appropriate vaccinations completed

Basic Obedience Class
This class covers the key basic commands: Come - Sit - Down - Stay - Loose Leash Walking. This class will help you better communicate with your dog, improving his life and yours. We use dog friendly training methods that are effective and fun. We use an obstacle course and other creative exercises to build your dog’s confidence and enthusiasm for learning.
Prerequisite: Dogs 4 months and older
Class Fee: $120 (6 sessions)
Intermediate Obedience Class
We’ll work on perfecting the 5 basic commands through “proofing”. Proofing is teaching your dog to obey, even with distractions and in exciting situations. This is the work that develops a dog that can accompany you in public (parks, pet stores, festivals, fairs, etc.) and make you proud! During class, we will practice the 10 components of the AKC Canine Good Citizen test. After class, you’ll be provided with opportunities to earn your dog's AKC CGC Certificate for your dog. Dogs enrolling in this class should know the 5 basic commands. (Come - Sit - Down - Stay - Heel), ). But, it’s okay if they aren’t reliable in performing them yet, that’s what this class is all about!

Intro to Rally Obedience
Handlers and Dogs in this class will work beyond the basic commands, building the behaviors needed to compete in AKC Novice Rally obedience or to develop a very well trained pet.
Prerequisite: Canine Good Citizen certification

Intro to Agility Class I and II
These sequential classes will work on continued progress on obedience, plus introductory Dog Agility work. Agility is one of the best ways to build your dog's eagerness to work with you. And, if your dog has extra energy to burn, we'll give him a constructive way to do just that! Dogs and their people really enjoy this class. We have a lot of fun introducing basic obstacle work in a positive, playful way. All agility work is low impact and appropriate for puppies 6 months and older.
Prerequisite: Intermediate Class or permission from instructor

Agility Foundation Skills I and II
In these classes, dogs will be trained to correctly and safely work the agility obstacles. You and your dog will focus on contact obstacles, jumping skills, and weave pole training. As the class progresses, increasingly complex sequences will be introduced. This class is a great option for those interested in having fun with their dog AND those that might be interested in progressing to the level of training needed for competition.
Prerequisite: Intro to Agility I and II class

Rally Practice
This class offers an opportunity to perfect your show ring performance for AKC Rally competition. Handlers and dogs should be capable of performing the skills needed for Novice level Rally. We'll focus on running practice courses including Novice, Advanced and Excellent stations.
Prerequisite: Handler has previously competed in Rally OR completion of Intro to Rally
Class Fee: $60 / month or $20 drop-in
Novice Polish
These ongoing classes will be to build dog and handler experience with the finer points of obedience skill training to obtain an AKC Companion Dog title or UKC title equivalent. In addition, this class will be focusing on extending the bond and training relationship you are building with your dog. It will consist of exercises for attention, heeling, recall, fronts and finishes, stand for examination, and stays. Some class time will be used in discussion of AKC Novice obedience regulations. As time allows some next level Open Polish exercises will be introduced.
Prerequisite: Dogs and Handlers need to have completed at least a beginner obedience class with an understanding of the basic obedience commands.
Class Fee: $60 / month or $20 drop-in
Open Polish
These ongoing classes will be to build dog and handler experience with the finer points of obedience training to obtain an AKC Companion Dog Excellent title or equivalent UKC title. In addition, this class will be a great way to give your dog some additional skills beyond basic obedience whether you ever enter an AKC or UKC obedience ring to compete or not. Skills focused on will be attention heeling as well as the following exercises: obedience jumping, drop on recall, retrieving, and out of sight stays. Some class time will be used in discussion of AKC Open obedience regulations.
Prerequisite: Dogs and handlers need to have attended at least 4 months of a Novice Polish class
